Hummingbird season has started! Make sure you have feeders ready to greet them!

About two-thirds of the lower forty-eight states will already have had their first hummingbird sightings by now. The rest of us in northern states must wait patiently as each sighting is a special treat!
If you enjoy hummingbirds and want to attract them or more of them, make sure you put out your feeders early and keep them stocked and clean. Feeders are especially important in areas where flowers and trees are blossoming late due to extended cold weather from a long winter. Hummingbirds who pass through and do not find food will move on to look elsewhere.
