AMT - 1/25 Piranha Dragster Plastic Model Car Kit - (1122)
The AMT Piranha was a plastic-bodied concept car based on the Chevrolet Corvair chassis, built in limited numbers by custom car designer Gene Winfield. It is believed that around 12 complete cars were built in the late 1960s.
Each of the cars were built differently depending on the use the owner had specified. Some were built as roadsters and some were built as dragsters. One car is known to have even featured gull-wing doors, which Motor Trend Magazine featured in their July 1967 Issue.The Piranha is best known for its starring role in the 1960's American TV show The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
