The 58th running of the 24 Hours of Daytona, the first race of twelve in the 2020 Weathertech Sportscar Championship. The first day is when the Corvette Racing C8.R made its first appearance on the track. The #3 car driven by Catsburg, Garcia and Taylor placed the third fastest lap time on the second day and Garcia would place the fastest lap time of all GTLM case during practice at 1:42.962. Antonio Garcia would go on to help the team place third during qualifying. Starting the 24 Hours off strong, hot on the heels for the forefront, Catsburg was in second place in going into hour 6, with contact being made between an Aston Martin V8, luckily coming out unscathed. By hour 16, #3 was battling for 3rd and eventually sliding down to fourth place by hour 19 and would take 4 in class after their successful debut.
