Product description

The Vought F4U Corsair is a U.S. Navy aircraft. It was produced between 1942 and 1952 by vought-Sikorsky Aircraft. During the Second World War, the aircraft was also produced at goodyear plants under the name FG and in Brewster as f3A. The popular "Corsair" entered service in 1942. However, the design process dates back to 1938. The distinctive shape of the broken wings and the rear-shifted pilot's cab were the result of numerous modifications during the design and testing phase of prototypes. The culmination of the work was a structure with good performance, but difficult to pilot (especially during landing). The aircraft was characterized by a high-power engine, speed, excellent visibility and a long retractable chassis, which was forced by the use of a propeller with a diameter of up to 4.06 m. It was armed with six 12.7 mm guns, two 450 kg bombs and eight unguided HVAR 127 mm missiles. The Vought F4U was equipped with the U.S. Navy during the Pacific battles. In Europe, corsairs in British service were involved in attacks on the battleship Tirpitz. The aircraft was also used in the early stages of the Korean War. From the world of COBI comes a model of The Vought F4U Corsair includes 270 bricks and one pilot figure. The aircraft has a movable propeller and ailerons. Its rotating wheels with rubber tyres can be retracted from the chassis in a take-off or landing position. The wings are folded in the characteristic way of this aircraft. The cabin can be opened to put the pilot figure at the controls. . The aircraft utilises printed block rather than stickers. Not only does this make the model more detailed it becomes hard wearing if being used as a toy. A special stand is included to enhance the model's exposure and aircraft name plate. 270 high-quality components, produced in the EU by a company with more than 20 years of tradition, comply with safety standards for children's products, fully compatible with other design brick brands, printed blocks do not deform and do not fade during play or under the influence of temperature,100% print, no stickers, clear and intuitive instruction based on drawings and icons, special display stand, 1 pilot figurine.
