With its roots in the urban lore of a 1930's Australian farmer's wife requesting "a vehicle to go to church in on a Sunday and can carry our pigs to market on Mondays", the Chevy El Camino was Chevy's answer for coupe utility vehicle in a market. Though not the best selling vehicle, the El Camino remained a Chevy staple for nearly 25 years.
