Description
REVELL - Concorde Britsh Air Model Kit (04257)
The Concorde is one of the most famous airliners in service today thanks to the fact that it is the only one capable of cruising at supersonic speeds. A product of cooperation between the British Aircraft Corporation and the French Aerospatiale company, Concorde first flew in March 1969. The first passenger flights occurred in 1976 and today Concorde primarily operates on transatlantic routes between New York and London or Paris, and Middle East routes. Concorde is powered by four afterburning Rolls Royce Olympus 593 engines and can fly at over twice the speed of sound. This 1/144th scale Revell of Germany kit includes markings for British Airways and Air France - Concorde's only operators. Kit features highly detailed 1/144th scale plastic kit for static display. 50 parts in white and clear with fine recessed panel lines. Engine nacelles with detailed fan fronts and exhaust nozzles. Detailed wheel wells and landing gear. Clear windshield with optional position nose - in take-off and landing configuration, the Concorde's nose droops to allow the pilots better visibility out of the cockpit. (NOTE: In this kit, the passenger cabin windows are depicted by shallow recesses in the fuselage sides. This feature will allow the windows to be easily picked out with a fine black marker or paint brush. There is no cockpit or cabin detail.) This kit includes a single Revell "SuperDecal" sheet with markings for one aircraft of British Airways and one of Air France. Requires Assembly, Hobby Knife, Cement, Paint. Suitable for Ages 10 & Older. Skill Level: 3, For Intermediate Modelers. Scale: 1/144th, Wingspan: 175mm, Fuselage Length: 433mmASIN: B00029D04M
