BACHMANN - N Scale EMD SD40-2 - CSX #8013 (Dark Future "HTM ") Locomotive - (67075)
Produced between 1972 and 1989, the SD40-2 was the most successful of EMD s Dash 2 series of road switchers. More than 4000 of this 6-axle model were produced, mostly for operators within North America, although a number of examples made it as far as Australia, South America, and elsewhere internationally. Their ability to ably handle road freight and switching operations made them a fast favorite among early operating crews and ensures that the type remains an essential component to the roster of most major freight railroads today. The Bachmann SD40-2 makes its first appearance in our N scale line in almost two decades with completely new tooling, DCC Econami Sound Value On Board , era-specific front-end configurations, and a range of authentic paint schemes.
