Needs modifications or it doesn't float

Posted by John Kevin Mann on Nov 29th 2021

We have birds, deer, raccoons and other wildlife, so this bird feeder gets pushed around as well as serving birds. It's design is to float because of air trapped under some fins below the ring that you can see. But, if it gets tipped the air escapes and it sinks. The only way that I could keep it afloat was to carefully cut foam pieces and use silicone caulk to glue them to the underside. If I had known how much time would be required, I would just have made my own out of some scrap wood and saved the money.
