Remember the truck driving TV series called “Movin' On” from the 70’s? The “Movin' On” show was an American drama series that ran for fourty-four episodes about a pair of big-rig truckers, one a crusty old veteran, the other a college-educated youngster, that team up to haul cargo across the country. It starred Claude Akins as an old-time independent owner-operator big-rig driver Sonny Pruitt, and Frank Converse as his college-educated co-driver Will Chandler. The show featured an iconic green 1974 Kenworth W-925 which the two actors actually drove during filming! Merle Haggard wrote and performed the theme song, "Movin' On" and it became a No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in July 1975.

For many who have family members in the trucking industry or who were truckers themselves, this show has special sentimental meaning. You can re-experience a little bit of that nostalgia with some of these models of classic big-rigs!
