Tips:
This is a scale miniature modeling architectural building component kit made of PLA plastic. Our 3D CAD engineering designed component kit's parts may require some minor minimal plastic molding flashing residue removal and/or sanding, for detail clean up and smoothing surfaces. Hobby knife, extra-fine sandpaper, emery board and PLA glue are suggest modeling tools. Most window and door component kits are designed to be used as either casement, for brick walls, or with exterior decorative trim, over siding. Exterior decorative trims are great for covering up any overcut voids around the rough opening created for placement of the component. Most of our window and door kits have a very thin protruding 1mm tab that helps line up and square the door or window frame to the outer decorative trim piece. Most of our door component are designed for either partially open or closed assembly. Our door's exterior trim parts are designed with a removable thin bottom molding brace to support the form from breaking prior to assemble and placement around the door frame, and can be snipped and removed when it is time to install. Dimensions, as mentioned in the component's name/title, are only approximate scale reproduction dimensions, as they relate to the component's real life-size version's dimensions. "Rough Opening Dimension" is the approximate dimensions of the hole/opening required to fit/install the scale miniature architectural component into your scale building model. Using a hobby knife, you can easily add detail, like wood planking or brick patterns to the surface of our components by scoring lines on the surface with your hobby knife and straight edge. Use flat inks in grey or black shades of colors in a wash technique, to bring out your added details. Pin heads make great doorknobs in smaller scale modeling.
